TIP 58: Addressing Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)

This treatment improvement protocol (TIP) reviews alcohol screening tools and interventions for use with pregnant women and women of childbearing age to prevent fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). It also outlines methods for identifying individuals with FASD and modifying treatment accordingly. This TIP is divided into three parts: 1) Background and Clinical Strategies for FASD Prevention and Intervention; 2) Administrator’s Guide to Implementing FASD Prevention and Intervention; and 3) Literature Review.
