Promoting First Relationships (PFR)

Promoting First Relationships (PFR) is an evidence-based curriculum for service providers who work with families of young children (0-3). Using video case studies, role playing, and reflective dialogue, it provides knowledge, tools, and consultation strategies for promoting secure and healthy relationships between caregivers and young children. The curriculum is delivered in a 2-day workshop and mentored distance learning. Use of the program has proven effective in helping caregivers gain confidence and knowledge, increasing parental sensitivity, and improving child outcomes.
