Researchers at the Boston University School of Medicine, Boston Medical Center, and Northeastern University are conducting a study using, Gabby, an avatar, as a virtual preconception assessment, education, and behavior-change tool. This webinar will provide a brief overview of the system and study design and identify Healthy Start grantees who are interested in implementing the intervention.
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Provide an overview on the history and clinical content of preconception care
- Introduce the “Gabby System,” a possible health-IT approach to provide preconception care
- Review results from previous “Gabby” studies
- Present ways for Healthy Start staff to assist with recruitment for the current nation-wide Gabby study by promoting the study to their clients
